Trans-Web™ Makes Appliqué Easy

Who doesn’t love personalized gifts? Especially for new arrivals in the family, we have a great how-to-sew tutorial for a personalized appliquéd baby blanket. Follow this link (http://www.reallyhandmade.com/sewing/how-to-sew-an-appliqued-baby-blanket/)for step by step instructions to create your own blanket.

Really Handmade, featured this tutorial, by Amy Alan using HTC-Retail’s Trans Web™ fusible interfacing. This versatile product comes on a clear, heat-resistant plastic liner that allows for accurate tracing because you can write directly on the plastic. Trace the shape you want for your appliqué, lay it over the fabric, and cut both layers. Iron the interfacing to your fabric. The adhesive will release only with the heat of an iron for a complete, secure bond. Your appliqué is new ready to be applied and sewn down.

Made of 100% polyamide webbing, Trans-Web™ is machine washable and dry-cleanable. It’s the easiest way to transform any piece of fabric into an iron-on appliqué.
